On the afternoon of January 9, the Ministry of Health recorded a positive case of nCoV, who entered isolation right in Hai Duong. Total cases increased to 1,513.
“Patient 1513”25 years old, in Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province. On December 29, 2020, he entered Van Don airport on flight VN311, his test result on January 8 was positive for nCoV.
Currently the patient is being treated at Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Hai Duong province. Previously, on this flight, there were 4 cases positive for nCoV.
Today 4 people were announced from Covid-19, bringing the total to 1,361. The death toll from Covid-19 was 35, with four deaths after three to four negative tests. The rest of the patients remained healthy, of which 9 tested negative for nCoV once, 8 were negative for the second time, and 8 were negative for the third time.
The total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic zone is more than 17,000. In which, isolation concentrated in the hospital nearly 150; more than 15,000 concentrated isolation, remaining at home or accommodation.
Vietnam has 37 days of no new cases recorded in the community. However, the risk of epidemic infiltration is always permanent, especially when increasing the number of flights bringing Vietnamese citizens and water experts. Authorities always warn of the risk of epidemic infiltration from unauthorized entry.
The Ministry of Health recommends that people continue to well implement the “5K Message”, especially wearing a mask and washing their hands with soap and antiseptic solution.
