Who is SaltPay, the FinTech that has discreetly raised $ 700 million

It just goes to show that we can remain discreet, but be terribly efficient. The British FinTech SaltPay is the proof: passed completely under the media radar since its creation two years ago, the nugget – hardly more present on the Internet than via its own website – has yet managed to raise a total of 700 million of dollars, to complete over the last twelve months no less than six acquisitions, and to reach a valuation of more than one billion dollars.

The start-up is starting to attract leading investors: Hedosophia and Tiger Global (present in Vestiaire Collective’s capital in France) have just participated in a series C operation which enabled it to raise 500 million dollars in April. While its workforce has doubled in recent months, to 800 people worldwide, it manages to recruit from the benches of the London School of Economics. And the first articles on her are appearing in the press, as recently in “Sifted”.
