WhatsApp bug causes many iPhone users to have problems

iPhone crashes shortly after opening the WhatsApp app, a problem that has affected many users around the world for the past few hours.

As reported by many users on Twitter, WhatsApp has simply stopped working on the iPhone. As soon as the user taps on the app icon, they can’t access the chat list or send messages to others.

No WhatsApp updates have been released recently on the App Store, even the Beta version of WhatsApp available through TestFlight is crashing for unknown reasons. This suggests that the error could be caused by an issue with Facebook’s servers and not by an iOS app issue.

Based on user reports, this error appears on both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business.

Some users reported getting an error after updating to iOS 15.2. However, it has nothing to do with the latest iOS update as users using iOS 15.1.1 have the same problem.

WhatsApp has yet to acknowledge the bug affecting iPhone users.
