On March 30, 2022, the People’s Committee of Hau Giang province had a meeting with the Vietnam Post Corporation on a number of issues related to the implementation of Decision 468/2021/QD-TTg and Decree 107/2021 /ND-CP in the province.
Actively accompanying in public administration work
According to the leader of Hau Giang Post Office, currently, Hau Giang province post office has arranged 2 staffs to receive documents for 4 departments and branches and return the results of administrative procedures to 17 departments and branches. At the same time, the post office has arranged 1 staff/point at the Single Window Department of Chau Thanh A district and Long My town; arrange 1 staff to receive and return results for procedures in 6 areas at Chau Thanh District Single Window; At 10 transfer points, each post office – cultural commune, the provincial post office will arrange 1 staff/site.
In addition, Hau Giang province has arranged public administration transfer points through the postal system at all levels, to both save costs and operate effectively to best serve people and organizations. It is expected that in the second quarter of 2022, the Hau Giang Provincial Public Administration Service Center located at the provincial post office will start operating.
In addition to receiving and returning results of administrative procedures at the Hau Giang Public Administration Service Center, postal staff also collected fees for 12,228 applications. with a total amount of nearly 4 billion VND.
The representative of Hau Giang province post office assessed that the receipt of documents and the return of results of administrative procedures through public postal enterprises have contributed to increasing productivity and quality of work at the one-stop shop. ; reduce the number of cadres, civil servants and public employees at the one-stop shop to enhance professional work; local cost savings; improve the local administrative reform index and bring convenience to people when using services.
At the meeting, Mr. Dong Van Thanh – Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the role and participation of Vietnam Post in the field of local public administration. Administrative reform is one of three breakthrough tasks that the province will focus on implementing in 2022. Therefore, in the coming time, the provincial post office needs to ensure and maintain service quality and delivery quality; at the same time, strengthen fostering and training of staff, actively propagate so that people know, understand and participate.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh affirmed, Hau Giang province will strive to digitize administrative records at the provincial level to reach 50%, district 40%, commune 30%; In particular, the waiting time for people and businesses will be reduced to a maximum of 30 minutes.
Mr. Nguyen Kien Cuong – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation said: “Building a model and implementing the one-stop transfer of parts will not have to be transferred in a “mechanical” way, but rather build a friendly, new and convenient public administration model to ensure active participation of the people. With the participation of public postal enterprises, the settlement of administrative procedures will be simplified and closer to life, ensuring practical efficiency for society and administrative management agencies at home. country”.
On the infrastructure invested by the State, Vietnam Post will actively invest in both facilities and people to ensure the highest efficiency of public administrative services deployed through the public utility system. .
For the digitization of records, Vietnam Post is currently investing in IT systems and modern equipment to ensure step-by-step implementation of the plan without administrative boundaries in the field of public administration. Vietnam Post will work closely with Hau Giang Provincial People’s Committee and related agencies to digitize data in the network environment, in order to contribute to the successful implementation of the province’s Digital Transformation Project in the period of 2020 – 2025. and orientation towards 2030.
