Vaccine Update: Canada, UK and Bahrain approve Pfizer’s Kovid-19 vaccine in US

Washington: After UK, Bahrain, Canada, now Pfizer Kovid-19 vaccine has been approved in US. The US Food and Drug Administration has given emergency approval to the coronovirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, the first drug to arrive in the US for the prevention of Kovid-19. FDA Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn confirmed this news in a statement on Friday night.

Let us tell you that Pfizer, along with its German partner BioNotech, developed the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine named BNT162b2 which is expected to produce more than 50 million doses in 2020 and 1.3 billion doses by the end of 2021.

Pfizer’s vaccine has been approved in England, Bahrain and Canada. The company last week appealed for the emergency use of the vaccine in India along with Serum Institute of India (SII) at Adar Poonawala, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer and indigenously developed kovaxin from Bharat Biotech.

Trump administration threatened

Let me tell you that the US White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows on Friday threatened the head of the FDA i.e. Food and Drug Administration that if Pfizer’s vaccine is not recognized, then he should send his resignation. It was said on their behalf that if the agency cannot tell the country about the first Corona virus medicine by Friday evening, then they should resign.
