US report claims – Obama administration intentionally funded al-Qaeda-linked organization

Washington: Former US President Barack Obama’s administration deliberately funded the terrorist organization al-Qaeda-affiliated organization. This information came from the recently released report of the US Senate Committee. The report is linked to an investigation by the Obama administration’s grant of US $ 2 million by the office of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, under which the US Christian-affiliated aid organization World Vision, al-Qaeda-affiliated, Islamic Relief Granted to the agency (ISRA).

Incidentally, World Vision also works in India and is a member of Inter Action, the largest coalition of international non-profit organizations. Last year, there was a big revelation which told how US government agencies are funding Islamic Charities involving terror groups based in Pakistan and Middle East through inter action. The Inter Action Together project includes the most controversial Islamic charity Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), which works with the charitable and political wing of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in Kashmir.

In January 2014, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was awarded for funding to provide humanitarian services in the conflict-ridden Blue Nile region of Sudan. World Vision provided service to ISRA. He used to do this earlier also.

But since 2004, the US government banned it. World Vision has claimed in its defense that it was not aware of the restrictions imposed on it by ISRA’s connection to terrorism. Although the Senate Committee report freed World Vision from intentional wrongdoing, it reprimanded for illegally sending government money to Israel.

Although World Vision was informed of ISRA’s status as a restricted entity in September 2014 and its payments were withheld, it sent a request that ISRA be granted a temporary license to complete the contract . Despite official confirmation of the ban on ISRA, the US State Department on May 4, 2015, asked the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to follow the World Vision.

The Senate committee said that moreover, although we find no reason to doubt World Vision’s claim that Israel had used their funds for humanitarian purposes in total, this money would have essentially promoted their terrorist activities. is.
