Ukrainian rebels order military mobilization amid fear of attack

Russia Ukraine Conflict: A separatist leader in eastern Ukraine has ordered a full military mobilization amid growing fear of aggression. Denis Pushilin, the head of the Russian-backed separatist government in the Donetsk region, issued a statement on Saturday announcing a full military mobilization and urging reserve force members to come to the military enlistment office.

The move comes after violence erupted in the region in recent days between Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed rebels. Western countries have expressed apprehension about this violence that Moscow can attack under its guise. Separatist authorities in Donetsk and Luhansk on Friday announced sending women, children and the elderly to neighboring Russia.
