Twitter In Action: Twitter bans sharing of personal photos and videos without consent

Twitter Photo Videos News: As soon as taking over the command of Twitter, Parag Agarwal has started appearing in action. Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal has implemented new rules regarding Twitter on Tuesday. According to the new rules, no user will be able to share any other’s photo or video without their consent. According to Twitter, the company has made this step in view of harassment. Twitter says that this step has been taken to strengthen the anti-harassment policies.

Under the new rules of Twitter, people who are not public figures can ask to remove their photos or videos which their consent has not been taken to share. However, Twitter has made it clear that people with public figure will not get this facility. Threatening to reveal personal information or encouraging others to do so is also included in Twitter’s new privacy policy.

According to Twitter, sharing private photos and videos can breach a person’s privacy. Due to such actions (whose photo has been shared) he may also get to see mental or physical harm. In such a situation, the company has said that if such information is given by any person or his representative, then Twitter will remove such private photos or videos.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has resigned as CEO. After his resignation, Indian-origin Parag Agarwal has been made the new CEO. Parag has been an alumnus of IIT-Bombay and Stanford University. Parag Agarwal has been working in Twitter since 2011 and was the CTO of the company since 2017.
