Turkish President urges Russia and Ukraine, ‘both countries together end this tragedy’

Meanwhile, Turkey has tried to hold talks between the two countries. Under this, a meeting is to be held between the two countries from March 28 to 30. The meeting held on Monday did not yield any result. Now today once again both the countries will sit face to face and talk. At the same time, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, while hosting talks in Istanbul on Tuesday, urged the Russian and Ukrainian delegations to end the tragedy.

The face-to-face talks at the Dolmabas palace in Istanbul are aimed at trying to end the current war. So far about 20,000 people have died in this war and more than 10 million people have been made homeless. On Monday, delegations of both the countries reached Turkey. Before this, several rounds of talks have taken place between the two countries.

Conflict is harmful for both

Erdogan told the media that, ‘Both sides have legitimate concerns, but both sides want it possible to find a solution to this problem, which is acceptable to the international community’. He insisted that, ‘It depends on both sides to end this tragedy. Extending the struggle is not in anyone’s interest. Let us tell you that Turkey also organized the first meeting between Ukrainian and Russian foreign ministers since the invasion of Ukraine in the southern Turkish city of Antalya on 10 March.
