Three groups of Hanoians are given priority to receive Covid-19 vaccine


People with chronic diseases, people over 65 years old, and women more than 13 weeks pregnant will be included in Hanoi’s priority group for vaccination against Covid-19 in the near future.

This is part of the document issued by the Hanoi Department of Health on September 3 on the continued implementation of Covid-19 vaccination in the area.

Hanoi has just been allocated 161,460 doses of Pfizer vaccine and 800,700 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine by the Ministry of Health. 11 groups prioritized vaccination against Covid-19, according to the decision of the Ministry of Health, including medical staff, people participating in epidemic prevention, such as steering committees at all levels, staff in isolation areas…; diplomatic staff, customs officers, immigration officers; army; police force; teacher; people over 65 years old; groups providing essential services: aviation, transportation, tourism, providing electricity and water services…; people with chronic diseases; people wishing to go on a business trip, study or work abroad; people in epidemic areas according to epidemiological indications.

According to statistics at the Covid-19 Immunization Portal as of September 3, Hanoi has injected 2,986,420 doses of Covid-19 vaccine out of a total of 4,313,400 doses of vaccine that have been allocated. The city’s vaccination rate is estimated at 69.24% of the population over the age of 18.
