While driving his SUV, the 27-year-old AC Milan defensive midfielder, on loan from Chelsea FC, was suddenly arrested by Italian police. Law enforcement believed he had been involved in a shooting linked to drug trafficking, before realizing their mistake. Worse, as he explains, one of the police officers even held him at gunpoint for a few seconds, before taking him out of the vehicle and pressing him against the police vehicle to search him, as evidenced by the scene in our montage below:

If the Milan police apologized and admitted a mistake, many people accused him of racism. According to her, Tiémoué Bakayoko and the other passenger “coincidentally matched the descriptions of the suspects”.
