The Prime Minister approved the list of members of the National Committee on Digital Transformation


The list of 16 members of the National Committee on Digital Transformation and the list of 7 leaders of the Working Group assisting the Committee has just been approved by the Prime Minister.

Decision 1964 approving the list of members of the National Committee on Digital Transformation and the leader of the Working Group to assist the National Committee on Digital Transformation was issued by the Prime Minister on November 22.

According to the Decision, the National Committee on Digital Transformation consists of 16 members. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Chairman of the Committee; Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam is the Standing Vice Chairman of the Committee and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung is the Vice Chairman of the Committee.

The National Committee on Digital Transformation also has 13 members, including: General To Lam, Minister of Public Security; Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phuc; Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung; Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan; Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong; Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung.

The working group to assist the National Committee on Digital Transformation has 7 leaders, with the leader being Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung. The six deputy leaders of the Working Group are Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Nguyen Van Sinh, Deputy Minister of Construction; Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises.

The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Information and Communications to approve the list of members of the Working Group to assist the National Committee on Digital Transformation, establish groups under the Working Group, collect members and mobilize experts.

Previously, in order to continue to have drastic instructions to accelerate the digital transformation of the country in the new period, on September 24, the Prime Minister issued Decision 1619 consolidating and renaming the National Committee on Government. e-Government into the National Committee on Digital Transformation.

The National Committee for Digital Transformation has the function of researching and proposing to the Government and Prime Minister and assisting the Government and Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the implementation of guidelines, strategies, mechanisms, policies to create a legal environment to promote the process of national digital transformation, closely linked with administrative reform; building and developing e-Government, digital government, digital economy, digital society and smart city; facilitate the deployment of the industrial revolution in Vietnam.

Compared with the previous period, after being consolidated and given a new name, the National Committee on Digital Transformation, specified in the new decision, added a number of tasks such as: Research and propose to the Government and Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve problems in the implementation of guidelines, strategies, mechanisms and policies to promote the process of national digital transformation, attach closely associated with administrative reform; Coordinating the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program; Monitor and coordinate the implementation of relevant contents of the National Strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution to 2030; to urge the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program.
