In Resolution 50 dated May 20, 2021 on the Government’s action program to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, one of the main tasks the Government assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to perform is to Maintaining the development of a strategy on digital transformation of the press to 2025 and orientation to 2030.

The draft strategy has been submitted by the Ministry of Information and Communications since mid-December, 2021 and is being sent by the Government Office for comments from the Central Propaganda Department; the ministries of Public Security, Finance, Planning and Investment, Education and Training, Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Vietnam Television Station and Vietnam News Agency before synthesizing and reporting to the Prime Minister.
In the draft Strategy, along with identifying 6 perspectives in digital transformation of the press, the Ministry of Information and Communications also proposes the vision, goals, and key tasks and solutions.
Accordingly, the vision of the draft Strategy is that Vietnam has a modern, professional, multi-platform, multi-media press, in line with the development trend of digital technology and world communication; providing complete, accurate, timely, personalized information to the public anytime, anywhere, honestly reflecting the mainstream of society, creating social trust and consensus, spreading energy actively, arousing aspirations, creating spiritual strength to develop a strong and prosperous country.
