Searchlight Pictures has revealed the trailer for The MenuWednesday 1er June. Mysterious, we learn very little about the ins and outs of the plot which nevertheless promises a thriller mixed with horror.
Mark Mylod, British director and producer specializing in the small screen, has behind him several episodes of Game Of Thrones, Shameless and Succession. Associated with Adam McKay – nominated for the Best Picture Oscar for Don’t Look Up – the director is now setting up a satirical comedy in an original camera.
The couple of Margot and Tyler, played by Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult, go to a very famous restaurant on a remote island. The gourmet menu is exceptional, but what follows is full of surprises.
The dark comedy is carried by Anya Taylor-Joy. The young woman, who plays Margot, quickly realizes that something is wrong. As the intimidating chef, played by Ralph Fiennes, explains to her, she shouldn’t be here tonight. In this anxiety-provoking context, the culinary horror can begin.
The cast also includes Judith Light, who starred in American Crime Story , John Leguizamo, the voice of Sid in The Ice Age and Bruno in Encanto or even Paul Adelstein, agent Paul Kellerman in Prison Break . The actress Aimee Carrero, little known in France, has mainly appeared in episodes of television series like Mentalist, Hannah Montana Where She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (streamed on Netflix).
