Ahmedabad: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Monday that his ministry is in talks with the governments of neighboring countries of Ukraine regarding accommodating Indian medical students. Indian students were forced to leave the country after the Russian attack on Ukraine that began on February 24 this year. Speaking to reporters in Vadodara, Jaishankar said that the Hungarian government has assured that it will try to accommodate as many Indian students as possible.

Jaishankar said, “In addition to the efforts being made in the country by the concerned department to help such medical students (who have returned from war-torn Ukraine), the Ministry of External Affairs is also in talks with neighboring countries of Ukraine to find out Whether such students can be admitted in their universities?’
