While the social elevator seems blocked in France with the crisis, Maurice Lévy is launching a business incubator. The objective of “L’Escalator”, that’s its name, is to give a chance to those who have the entrepreneurial spirit but little financial means. The advertising man, Maurice Lévy, also delivers some memories shared with Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.
Of the former President of the Republic, he keeps the memory “of a modernity that contrasted with France a little stiff and the administration a little dusty. He has done a lot of things to modernize France.”
Regarding the launch of this incubator, “L’Escalator”, for Maurice Lévy : “An incubator is a place in which we welcome start-ups or people who have ideas, who have the will to undertake, but who are stuck in their development either by lack of relationships or by lack of financial means. We therefore offer them an infrastructure to develop their projects and be supported. “
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Publicis Groupe precise : “First, we help them to check whether the project and the idea they have is solvent. We are surrounded by a jury made up of experts who come from partner companies. If the project is solvent, the promoter is hosted in the incubator for 12 months. And if they do not even have the capacity to create their structure, we will first welcome them for three months in order to help them start their project “.
