The crab sandwiched infection almost died

Patients undergo continuous dialysis using a broad spectrum antibiotic. After 48 hours of continuous dialysis, the patient’s blood pressure gradually improved, the vasopressor stopped, and the organ failure index gradually returned to normal.

After four days of intensive treatment, the patient stopped the ventilator and was withdrawn intubated. On January 7, the patient was awake, had a stable effect, followed by follow-up treatment at the Department of Cardiology – Arthritis.

Patients with a history of regular pain relievers, anti-inflammatory drugs, and traditional medicine due to degenerative polyarthritis for about 10 years.

Doctor Duong Thien Phuoc, Head of the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poisoning, Can Tho Central General Hospital, said the world has recorded many cases of crabs leading to death.

Depending on the severity of the crab clamp, the patient may bleed, tear the skin, create an open wound or lose a piece of meat. There is also pain at the pinch and swelling, hot, red, and painful neighborhood. Some people have fever and infection at the place of crabs, complications of sepsis.

Doctors recommend that when crab clamps, to calmly separate crabs, then wash the wound with clean water, remove the foreign objects inside the wound. It is advisable to wash the wound with antiseptic water such as saline, hydrogen peroxide, iodine and a compressive bandage if the bleeding is heavy or the mouth is large.

Note rest, limit travel. Do not arbitrarily apply male medicines to the wound. In case of hot swollen pain, the possibility of being inflamed tissue, need to go to the medical facility to check and promptly handle.
