Suprêmes returns to the France of the 1990s, which saw the birth of the NTM phenomenon

A trailer reveals how Sandor Funtek and Théo Christine slipped into the skin of young Kool Shen and Joey Starr.

They marked the history of hip-hop in the 1990s. Directed by Audrey Estrougo, the film Supreme retraces the journey of Suprême NTM, a group that forever changed French rap. Announced since 2019, the cast of this feature film is ambitious: Sandor Funtek and Théo Christine play Kool Shen and JoeyStarr. Release scheduled for November 2021.

Highly anticipated, the film is revealed in a first trailer. In one minute it traces the birth of the group from Seine-Saint-Denis, its first steps on stage and its evolution in a movement that the music industry has taken years to recognize until the consecration of recent years.

Hailed at the Cannes Film Festival

Presented on July 10 during the Midnight Screening of the Cannes Film Festival, the film was a resounding success.
