Simone Ashley: ‘Flirting on screen taught me the art of seduction in the 19th century’

SEEN FROM ELSEWHERE – The second season of the series The Bridgerton Chronicle, which is currently breaking all records on Netflix, arrives on our screens with a new protagonist: Simone Ashley. She tells us what she learned about love by flirting…in the past.

If you don’t yet know Simone Ashley, a 26-year-old British actress of Indian origin, it’s because you haven’t been paying enough attention. The young woman is on the list of stars of tomorrow established by the magazine HollywoodReporterand we have so far been able to see her in the film Pokemon: Detective Pikachuin the series Sex Education and even in an episode of L’ispettore Coliandro.

From March 25, she will star in the second season of The Bridgerton Chronicle , the record-breaking Netflix series produced by Shonda Rhimes and based on Julia Quinn’s romance novels, set in Georgian England. Setting aside the relationship between Daphne and the Duke of Hastings, the new episodes focus on the love affairs of Anthony, Viscount of Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) in search of a bride. His meeting with Kate Sharma (Ashley), who has just arrived from India with her stepmother and younger sister Edwina, upsets her plans.
