There are three pathways of alcohol metabolism in the human body: in the liver, through sweat glands in the skin, and through the respiratory system. Of which, about 90% is metabolized through the enzyme system of the liver by two main enzymes, alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase. These two types of yeast help alcohol to be broken down faster, the central nervous system is less affected. However, when drinking too much, too quickly beyond the ability of the enzyme to break down or partially or completely deficient in metabolic enzymes, will fall into a state of intoxication.
“Alcohol antidote” actually enhances the functioning of the liver enzyme system, thereby increasing the breakdown of alcohol, helping you to wake up quickly, eliminating the feeling of hangover. But the liver’s capacity is limited, it only produces a certain amount of enzyme every hour, corresponding to a certain amount of alcohol metabolized, so if you drink too much, the liver will not be able to produce it.
Whether a person is drunk or not depends on the concentration of ethanol in the blood. When the concentration of ethanol in the blood is from 0.05 to 0.1%, a slight dullness begins; reaching 0.3%, the gait is unsteady, speech is uncontrolled (drunk state); above 0.5% have a high risk of death. The ability to tolerate ethanol in each person is also not the same.
So, drink alcohol the right way instead of looking for an antidote to “gain dollars”. Limit the intake of strong alcohol, choose fruit wines or wines, do not drink too much.
In case you have to drink alcohol, there are a few points to pay attention to:
Before drinking should eat food, avoid empty stomach because when hungry, the intestinal absorption of alcohol will be faster when mixed with food, making the drinker more intoxicated. Half an hour before going to drink, you can drink a small bottle of milk (whole fresh milk is best) both to protect the stomach lining and prevent gastritis caused by alcohol, and has the effect of promoting the decomposition process. ethanol. Drinking small amounts, should not drink too quickly, too much at the same time, will increase pressure on the liver, making this part unable to metabolize alcohol.
It should be remembered that there is no “magic medicine” to help drink thousands of cups without getting drunk, so to protect health and travel safely, it is best not to drink alcohol or invite wine on spring days. If it is necessary to drink, use only within permissible and controlled limits.
