Severe warning sign F0 at home

SpO2 below 96%, increased breathing rate, rapid pulse, chest tightness, purple lips, inability to drink… are warning signs with F0 monitoring at home.

Follow Guide to home health care packages for F0 people issued by the HCM City Department of Health on 11/23, F0 or carers should immediately notify the medical staff when F0 has one of the following signs:

Shortness of breath, shortness of breath, or in children with signs of abnormal breathing such as groaning, chest indrawing, rising and falling of the nostrils, wheezing, wheezing, then inhale.

Breathing rate increases from 21 times per minute or more for adults, to 40 times a minute or more for children one to under 5 years old, to 30 times per minute or more for children 5 to under 12 years old.

Peripheral blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) is less than 96% if measured.

Tachycardia over 120 beats/min or less than 50 beats/min.

Low blood pressure with systolic blood pressure less than 90 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure less than 60 mmHg if measured.

Frequent chest pain, feeling of relief from angina, pain increases when taking a deep breath.

Changes in consciousness such as confusion, drowsy, lethargy, very tired or exhausted, fussiness, lethargy difficult to wake, convulsions.

Purple lips, purple fingernails, toenails, blue skin, pale lips, cold fingertips and toes.

Can’t drink.

Children with fever over 38 degrees Celsius, sore throat, cough, diarrhea, fatigue, refusal to play, chest tightness, shortness of breath, SpO2 less than 96%, poor feeding or feeding…

According to the guidelines of the medical industry, F0 should keep the mentality always comfortable, not pessimistic. In case of difficulty, contact your local health worker or call center 1022 for advice. F0 needs to wear a mask continuously, wash their hands often, and disinfect their hands. Wash your nose and gargle daily with physiological saline. Focus on exercise, exercise to improve health. Drink enough water or more if you have a fever or diarrhea. Do not skip meals, increase nutrition, eat enough nutrients, increase fresh fruits and vegetables.

F0 needs to self-monitor health, measure body temperature, SpO2 at least twice a day, or when feeling signs of fever, difficulty breathing. Make a medical declaration at least once a day or when you have unusual symptoms, via the “Ho Chi Minh City Health” application or a health self-monitoring card.

The isolation place must be well ventilated, not using central air conditioning, regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils and toilets. Disinfect objects and contact surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, toilets, lavabo, classify waste according to the process.

F0 does not voluntarily leave the isolation room during the isolation period, does not share items with others, does not eat with others, does not come into close contact with other people or pets.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City allows home isolation F0 with no symptoms or mild symptoms, no respiratory failure, SpO2 index over 96%, respiratory rate less than 20 breaths/minute, age from 1 to 50, no underlying disease, not pregnant, not obese or if the underlying medical condition is stable, get two doses or 14 days after the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine; There are no people in the family at risk.

All F0s at home are immediately provided with a bag of A medicine (fever reducer, vitamins). Particularly, F0 with mild symptoms were given an extra bag of medicine C (antiviral drug molnupiravir). If F0 at home shows signs of worsening, the doctor will assess the patient’s condition. If hospitalization is indicated, a single dose of drug B (anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant) will be given before being transferred to the hospital.
