This task is also to fulfill part of the work content in the plan “Support to bring agricultural production households to the e-commerce platform, promote the development of the agricultural and rural digital economy”, which has been approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. According to a representative of Vietnam Post, the unit has set up a Steering Committee to directly manage the consumption of agricultural products led by the General Director. Along with that, a specific consumption plan and implementation plan have been developed.
In particular, this business has built and divided agricultural products into 2 lines, including regular consumption and seasonal/seasonal consumption, from which there are separate plans for each line. Packing specifications, product preservation methods, and traceability assurance are also detailed for each type of product.
In the past few days, activities to support the consumption of agricultural products for localities that are isolated on the Postmart floor have been focused on implementing by provincial post offices. In particular, with the seller channel, Seashell floor cooperates with local mass organizations such as the Youth Union and the Women’s Union to form groups to guide farmers in digital transformation, through organizing online and offline training sessions to train knowledge and skills in technology application, marketing, and sales.
At the same time, the unit also set up Zalo groups in each district to specialize in supporting farmers in selling, packing, and choosing delivery areas. The unit also develops a policy for 500,000 affiliate sellers on the Seashell floor to spread sales on social networking platforms.
In order to promote consumer demand for agricultural products, Seashells floor has expanded its customer access channel by building a website specializing in agricultural products, specialties and essential goods for localities, selling offline agricultural products at service points across the country, while supporting shipping costs for consumers and committing to shipping within 48 hours.
