The leaders hope that this agreement will be taken forward soon to give it the form of law. He hopes that an initiative will be taken in this direction this month. Under this agreement, the records of gun buyers under the age of 21 will be made available during background checks. The suspects who killed 10 people at a grocery store in Buffalo and 19 students and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde were both 18 years old. Many of the attackers who opened fire in recent years were young. 

Guns will be taken from people with violent tendencies

Regulations regarding the sale of guns will be tightened. Guns will be taken away from people with violent tendencies and there are plans to strengthen school safety mental health programs as well. As per the agreement, those selling guns will have to obtain a licence. This means they have to do background checks on buyers.

President Biden said in a statement that the draft ‘doesn’t do everything I think is necessary, but it represents important steps in the right direction, and one of the most important to pass in Congress in decades’ There will be a gun safety law.’’
