Russia’s national security agency hacked


Anonymous hacker organization has claimed responsibility for this action.

A series of Russian websites were taken down, including Moscow.ru, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), the Center for Analysis of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. Anonymous shared on Twitter with screenshots as proof.

Russian government organizations and state-owned companies have been targeted. The websites of the Kremlin, the airline Aeroflot and the major lender Sberbank have also been experiencing instability in recent weeks, according to TASS news agency.

Not stopping there, on Wednesday evening (March 16), the website of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry was hacked to post an announcement about the military situation in Ukraine.

In addition, the hotline number on the main page of the Russian Emergencies Ministry has been changed from Russian to Ukrainian. Russia’s state news agency said the websites of all of the ministry’s regional central agencies were also down.

Every website is in a state of maintenance. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the two attacks.
