Russia bombs Kyiv residential building ahead of G7 summit, four injured including girl

Russia Ukraine War: Russia attacked a residential building in Kyiv on Sunday. This is the first attack on the capital in nearly three weeks. After which there was a call by Ukraine for more support from the G7 leaders meeting in Germany. City Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said four people, including a seven-year-old girl, were taken to hospital after the morning strike. Meanwhile, Moscow said its forces had attacked three military centers in northern and western Ukraine, one of which is near the border with Poland.

These high-profile attacks precede the G7 and NATO summits by Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address both gatherings, where allies including US President Joe Biden will review their support for Kyiv and sanctions imposed on Moscow. Biden on Sunday condemned the attack on Kyiv, referring to Russia and calling it “more than their barbarism”.

G-7 countries to ban gold imports from Russia
The US President announced on Sunday that the G-7 member countries will ban the import of gold from Russia. However, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba demanded more.

Dimitro Kuleba posted a photo of an injured child being carried on a stretcher on Twitter, in which he said that “(the child) was sleeping peacefully in Kyiv until a Russian cruise missile destroyed his home.” Gave.”

The Ukrainian foreign minister said, “The G7 summit should respond with more sanctions on Russia and more heavy weapons for Ukraine.” Russia’s “ill imperialism must be defeated,” he said.
