Removing regulations on centralized isolation from provinces to Ho Chi Minh City


HCDC announced that people in Hai Duong who entered Ho Chi Minh City from April 1 do not need centralized isolation, because this locality has ended social segregation.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City applied concentrated isolation of people from two localities in Kinh Mon town, Hai Duong province, including Noi Hop village (Le Ninh commune) and Thuong Chieu residential area (Tan Dan ward).

Thus, Ho Chi Minh City is no longer concentrated in isolation from other provinces in the country.

The city is monitoring people from / from Le Hong Phong, Dang Giang ward, Ngo Quyen district (Hai Phong) and people from D35 street, in Quarter 4, Viet Sing residential area, An Phu ward, Thuan An city (Binh Duong). The Center for Disease Control Ho Chi Minh City (HCDC) requires people who come to Ho Chi Minh City from these two localities, within 14 days of leaving, to isolate at home, take samples for testing according to regulations.

These are the two localities that recorded Covid-19 cases, recorded by the Ministry of Health on March 26. In which, “patient 2582” illegally entered the fishing boat from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City on March 22. “Patient 2585” in Binh Duong, is a male, 44 years old, of Chinese nationality, illegally entered through unofficial channels at Moc Bai International Border Gate area on March 23.

The city applied concentrated isolation for close contact with Covid-19 patients, isolated 14 days from the date of exposure, and tested four times.

As of April 1, Ho Chi Minh City recorded 220 cases of Covid-19, of which 211 people have been cured, and 9 patients are being treated. The health sector is launching Covid-19 vaccination campaign for priority groups, having injected 2,592 health workers. Post-injection reactions are monitored and all are now stable.

Ho Chi Minh City continues to isolate immigrants according to regulations, supervise medical isolation activities, and supervise people after completing concentrated isolation in the city.

HCDC recommends that the current period, although vaccines are available, always perform 5K (mask – disinfection – distance – no gathering – medical declaration).
