Proposing to test a dedicated bracelet for managing quarantined people to support centralized and post-isolation monitoring.

Talking to VietNamNet on the morning of May 22, Mr. Do Cong Anh, in charge of the administration of the Department of Informatization (Ministry of Information and Communications), said that the Ministry of Information and Communications has written a proposal to the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to allow the application of Dedicated bracelet to support centralized and post-isolation monitoring.

The bracelet is developed entirely by a Vietnamese enterprise, uses GPS technology to record locations, has a 30-day battery life, and can send an alert if vandalism is detected or out of the quarantine area.

The Department of Informatization said that the expected production price of a specialized bracelet is $35. The Ministry of Information and Communications proposed to assign the Ministry to assume the prime responsibility for, and direct a number of domestic enterprises to research, produce and test the use of socialization funds.

Previously, Hong Kong had attached electronic bracelets on all passengers entering this special zone for medical supervision and isolation for 2 weeks to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic. This bracelet is connected to a smartphone app, used to control self-isolation at home.

The Department of Informatization of the Ministry of Information and Communications said that the Department has worked with garage management platform businesses and technology carriers to unify a mechanism for sharing information with the Steering Committee.

When there is a trace request from the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (send the phone number to be traced), these businesses will return the results to the route (destination and departure) of the subscriber.

The Department is also working with technology passenger transport enterprises to have a mechanism to bring people from concentrated isolation areas to their places of residence, thereby making it easier to more closely manage the handover after concentrated isolation.

Up to this point, medical declaration applications are an effective tool to prevent Covid. However, electronic health declaration is still complicated for many people who are not used to using smartphones. Many people who have made medical declarations on paper when they go to other places still have to declare again; or already declared but no one asked. Therefore, it leads to the situation that some people, even though they do not intentionally evade medical declaration, for one or more of the reasons mentioned above, do not fulfill their very necessary responsibilities.

During the online meeting of the Standing National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control with the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang on the afternoon of May 16, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee especially emphasized the importance of medical declaration. For those who are related to people in epidemic areas, subjects F2, F3, people entering the hospital, boarding an airplane, this is all regulated but in fact there are inconsistent workplaces.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Head of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, requested the Ministry of Health to seriously review the regulations on medical declaration to ensure it is simple and convenient. so that everyone can declare, and propose to set up a hotline to support people to make medical declaration.

Mr. Do Cong Anh, said, to solve the situation that people do not declare health through the application but call the authorities to declare, the Department has promoted the construction of a hotline to receive declarations. health care of the people and assigned to VNPT to operate.

In addition, the Department of Informatization has also added a feature to detect codes in declared applications that have not been updated for a long time. This declaration code will ask people to update their data within 24 hours; If you do not declare the update when you go through the security gate, you will be detected and ask people to update.

Mr. Do Cong Anh affirmed that the new measures will overcome the current loophole and help prevent and trace Covid more thoroughly, avoiding the situation of people who do not voluntarily declare to bypass the management agencies. .

Immediately after receiving the instructions, within 24 hours, VNPT quickly deployed a hotline to support medical declaration 18001119 in order to receive and assist people’s requests for medical declaration in a timely manner. Free, no congestion. Accordingly, when calling the switchboard, in addition to being free of charge, people will be guided by volunteer operators to choose the most appropriate form of medical declaration and the most authentic declaration content.
