PM Modi Europe Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Denmark on Tuesday in the second leg of his three-nation tour. Here he was received by the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen. After this a meeting was held between the two leaders. During this, many agreements were signed between India and Denmark, including an agreement on clean water, an advanced center on fisheries, skill development, migration and mobility.
Along with this, many business agreements were also signed in which Dalmia Cement and FL Smith had an agreement on making new cement for future needs.
PM Modi and Mette Fredericksen also talked about the Russo-Ukraine war. The Danish PM said, “We are two democracies. As close allies, we have talked about the crisis in Ukraine. Putin has to stop this war. It is expected that India will also influence Russia in this and will be helpful in preventing war.
At the same time, PM Modi said that we have discussed global and regional issues along with talking on the relation between India and Denmark. We stressed the need to immediately stop the Ukraine war and find a way out through peaceful dialogue.
The PM said that both our countries share values like democracy, freedom of expression and rule of law. We have reviewed the Special Task Force on Sharing Green Strategy. There are more than 200 Danish companies in India. Hope our cooperation will move forward rapidly.
He said, “There are many investment opportunities for Danish companies and Danish Pension Funds in India’s infrastructure sector and green industries.”
Now the PM will participate in the second India-Nordic summit. Modi has arrived here from Germany. He held detailed bilateral talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Germany and co-chaired the India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations. The Danish Prime Minister welcomed Modi at the airport.
After reaching Copenhagen, Modi tweeted, “I have reached Copenhagen. I am very grateful to Prime Minister Fredericksen for the warm welcome. This visit will have far-reaching consequences in further strengthening India-Denmark ties.
