PORTRAIT – The last wife of Gene Kelly, the legendary actor, dancer and choreographer, celebrates the 70e birthday singin’ in the rain which comes out in the room for the occasion.

Patricia Ward Kelly, 63, last wife of the great Gene Kelly (1912-1996), is thrilled that the restored 4K version of Let’s sing in the rain was aired with great fanfare during the 75e Cannes film festival.
The celebration of the 70e anniversary of the mythical musical comedy by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly goes of course through the re-release of the film throughout France, but also through the broadcast of a series of programs on France Musique (1) devoted to the unforgettable Don Lockwood of Singin’ in the Rain, the leaping Jerry Mulligan ofAn American in Paris or the romantic Andy in The Demoiselles de Rochefortby Jacques Demy.
