Economic Crisis In Pakistan: The condition of Pakistan, which is facing financial crisis, is not hidden from anyone. The Government of Pakistan has now appealed to the citizens of the country to reduce the use of tea to overcome the shortage of money. This strange appeal to the citizens of Pakistan has been made by none other than the Pakistani Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal. Ahsan Iqbal has urged Pakistani citizens to reduce their consumption of tea.
Arguing behind this, he said that this step will help the government in reducing import expenditure. The Pakistani minister said that the government imports tea by taking loans. Therefore, the government wants that the expenditure on import of tea can be reduced. According to a news published in the Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune, during a conversation with the media in the capital Islamabad on Tuesday, Ahsan Iqbal said, “I appeal to the people of the country to reduce the consumption of tea by one or two cups daily. Because we also borrow money to import tea.”
Minister blames Imran Khan
Ahsan Iqbal blamed the previous government for this poor condition of Pakistan. He accused the Imran Khan government of ruining the country’s economy. Apart from this, he appealed to the businessmen to save electricity to improve the economic condition of the country. He asked the shopkeepers to close the market by 8.30 pm.
Let us tell you that the government of Pakistan had banned the import of 41 items for two months only last month to control the economic situation. But these restrictions do not seem to have any significant effect. The import ban by Pakistan has reduced the import bill by only $ 600 million, which is only 5 percent of the total import expenditure.
