Clinical trials of the AstraZeneca and Oxford’s Corona virus vaccine AZD1222 are underway. This vaccine has yielded very good results. “An interim analysis of AZD1222’s qualitative trial in the UK and Brazil has yielded positive results preventing Kovid-19,” AstraZeneca said.
“The corona vaccine was 90 percent effective when half the dose of AZD1222 was given, then half the remaining dose was given within a month,” AstraZeneca said. When a second full dose was given a month later, it was 62 percent effective. The combined analysis has an average efficacy of 70 percent of the vaccine.
Let us know, the Government of India can give emergency approval to the Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) for a possible vaccine of corona virus being made by Oxford University and forma company AstraZeneca. The price of the vaccine in the private market can be between 500 and 600 rupees. The government will get this vaccine for half the price i.e. 3 to 4 dollars or 225 to 300 rupees after buying a large amount of doses. India is expected to get the Kovid vaccine at the beginning of the new year i.e. the end of January and early February.
Pfizer, BioNTech, Moderna Vaccine
Many countries in the world are searching for the corona virus vaccine. At the same time, drug makers Pfizer and Moderna have raised a lot of expectations about the Corona vaccine. Their medicine is said to be quite effective, as well as has given good results on many stages of the trial. However, many experts have expressed concern about an unbiased system for delivery of the vaccine in the world.
Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine candidate BNT162b2 were recently found to be 95% effective without any major safety concerns. In addition, Moderna states that preliminary phase three trial data showed that her vaccine was up to 94.5% effective. Although no vaccine has been approved yet, but many countries are competing to buy the Corona vaccine in advance.
