This feature applies to iPhone 12 and later, but it can be used to authenticate Apple Pay transactions and third-party app logins. However, Apple still recommends that using Face ID with a full face is safer.

120Hz animation support for third-party apps

All animations in the app will display at 120Hz for a smoother and more streamlined app usage experience.
The code in iOS 15.4 suggests that Apple is developing a feature called “Cosmetic Scan”, which is used when swapping the iPhone. This feature can be used to check an iPhone for damage or scratches, providing a more accurate estimate of exchange value.
