Since The Young Peril and his band of Parisian high school students, in 1994, Cédric Klapisch never stops filming youth. With some exceptions (Nothing at all with Luchini, A family resemblance with Jaoui and Bacri, My piece of the piewith Karin Viard), the director is infatuated with friendly young people, who give him his greatest successes (The Spanish inn, Russian dolls, Chinese puzzle). Nothing more human than the fear of aging. Those under 30 have the carelessness of their age, heart stories without consequences, with or without the Erasmus program, with or without Romain Duris. Rarely cancers, divorces, bereavements and other dramas of adult life. They don’t have baldness, either.
