Oppo continues to launch folding phones, confronting Galaxy Z Flip 3?

One more clamshell phone model can make the Galaxy Z Flip 3 shy.

According to 91Mobiles, Oppo is developing a new folding screen smartphone model. This time, the BBK group-backed company plans to release a clamshell flip phone to compete with the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

This product that is said to be in the Find N series has yet to have an official name. The device will have a clamshell folding mechanism similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Moto Razr. Oppo not only improved the appearance but also reduced the price, making this flip phone more accessible to ordinary users. The clamshell Oppo might even be cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.

In late 2021, Oppo released the Find N, the company’s first folding phone. Despite its late launch, Find N claims to have solved the most common mistakes on folding devices such as minimizing the crease in the middle of the screen.

Oppo, on the other hand, has opted for an older design. Oppo may be aiming to release another folding phone with a similar design from Samsung and Motorola, but also unlike the Find N.

The Find N flip phone is likely to launch in the third quarter of 2022 or before September 30, which is also the time when Apple launches new iPhone models.

At this time, there is still no information about the specifications as well as the design of this device. However, Oppo Find N is only two months old, so Oppo will not want to compete with itself by releasing a new foldable phone with outstanding features.
