No new chip for iPhone 14

The latest report of reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reconfirms that the iPhone 14 will only use the old chip A15 Bionic.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest analysis of Apple’s supply chain situation, the A16 Bionic chip will be exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is information that Mr. Kuo confirmed the previous rumors. The new news is that Apple will increase the share of the flagship A16 Bionic chip to 60%.

This means that Apple is expected to sell more iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is considered a new marketing strategy of Apple when making the “Pro” version the number 1 priority.

Previous rumors also show that Apple intends to clearly define 2 “Pro” and standard product lines for the iPhone 2022 launched in September.

It is shown that Apple will have many important upgrades for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max duo.

Accordingly, this year’s iPhone Pro duo is expected to use a pill-shaped “punch” screen, while the standard iPhone 14 will still use the “rabbit ears” screen like the iPhone 13.

Also with the “Pro” duo launched this year, it is expected that Apple will upgrade the rear camera with a 48MP lens that supports 8K video recording, instead of just 12MP like its predecessor iPhone model. In addition, the “Pro” versions may be equipped with the Always-on Display feature, along with the customizable lock screen features in iOS 16.

Apple is expected to launch 4 new iPhone models in September including: iPhone 14 (6.1-inch screen), iPhone 14 Max (6.7-inch), iPhone 14 Pro (6.1-inch) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7 inches). The price for iPhone 2022 is expected to increase by 100 USD compared to iPhone 13 launched last year.
