New York Governor Resigns: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned from his post on Tuesday after several allegations of sexual harassment in the US. The allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him by eleven women at different times were found to be true. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been under investigation for five months into the sexual assault of women.

In this inquiry report, it was said that the atmosphere of the Governor’s office has not been suitable for work. Not only this, retaliatory action was also taken against the first woman to publicly allege harassment. Many women have accused him of touching, molesting and kissing etc. with wrong intentions.

In this regard, the State Attorney General’s report said that Andrew had broken the law and did such things which he should not have done to maintain the dignity of the office.

Biden had said – should resign

Earlier, during a discussion with reporters at the White House, US President Joe Biden said- ‘I think he should resign. US President Joe Biden said before the results of the investigation that he would demand his resignation if the investigation showed that Cuomo had acted improperly. Biden called for his resignation after the results of the investigation came out on Tuesday and Governor Andrew Cuomo was found guilty.

However, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo denied allegations that he had acted improperly and clarified that he had no plans to resign.
