Mariam Nawaz, the daughter of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said on Monday that she would not go to London to visit her father for treatment despite the country’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s clear offer to go abroad and stay in the country. “If someone (from the government) comes to my house and offers me a place to go abroad, I will reject it straight away,” Maryamya told reporters at her residence in caste Umra Raivid here.
He said, “I know that some ministers are saying that if Maryam is allowed to go abroad then the opposition’s campaign (against the government) will be weakened, but I want to make it clear that I am my country I will not leave and will not request to remove my name from the list of those who are not allowed to go abroad. ”
The PML-N vice-president said that he has to undergo a ‘small surgery’, which is not possible in Pakistan. He said, “But in spite of this I will not leave Pakistan. I will live and die in my own country ”
Sharif was allowed to go abroad for medical treatment, after which he has been living in London since November, 2019. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Home Affairs Mirza Shahzad Akbar said that Pakistan has requested the UK authorities to deport Sharif.
