Pakistan News: Pakistan’s deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has once again taunted Imran Khan, saying that the cricketer-turned-politician is called a ‘puppet’ in India after he was brought to power in 2018 by a powerful army. Sharif is currently undergoing treatment for heart disease in London. He addressed a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) held in Lahore on Thursday through video link.

Sharif said, “In India, Prime Minister Imran Khan is called a ‘puppet’ and in America it is said that he (Imran) has less authority than the mayor. This is because the world knows how he has been brought to power. Imran has come to power not with the votes of the common people but with the help of the military establishment.

Nawaz is guilty of corruption

Sharif, 71, convicted in two corruption cases in Pakistan, has been living in London since November 2019. At that time the Lahore High Court had allowed him to go abroad for four weeks for treatment. At the party meeting, Sharif lashed out at Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and former ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed for “imposing a puppet government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)” by rigging the 2018 general election. also criticized.

Sharif said, “This person (Imran Khan) used to say that he would commit suicide instead of going to the IMF (International Monetary Fund). Now we are waiting to see when he will commit suicide.” Imran had sharply criticized the then Pakistani government for taking loans from international institutions when he was in opposition.
