James Webb Telescope Launch: NASA has today launched the James Webb Space Telescope on 25 December. The US space agency hopes that it will reveal the secrets of the early universe. NASA has launched the James Webb Telescope at 12.20 pm GMT (7.20am EST) on Christmas Eve today.

NASA used to use the Hubble Space Telescope for space information until now, but the James Webb Space Telescope is many times more powerful than the Hubble Telescope. It has cost $10 billion from making to launch.

Warning before launch

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson warned before the launch that ‘more than 300 things could go wrong, which could stall the launch. This week officials said that there was intermittent communication between the rocket and the telescope.
