Mr. Do Cong Anh is responsible for running the Department of Computerization


Mr. Do Cong Anh used to study for Master in IT at University of East London (UK). From December 1, 2020, he was assigned the task of running the Department of Computerization.

On the afternoon of December 1, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications (TT&TT), a decision on staffing implementation conference took place.

According to Decision No. 2097 / QD-BTTTT dated December 1, 2020, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung assigned Mr. Do Cong Anh – Deputy Director of Department of Information Technology (Ministry of Information and Communications) in charge of operating the Department of Informatics from December 1, 2020 until another decision is made.

Mr. Do Cong Anh is a former math student of Hanoi – Amsterdam School and an alumni of IT at Hanoi University of Technology. He used to study for a Master in IT at the University of East London (UK).

During his 14-year work at the Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Do Cong Anh has had many positions such as an employee, specialist and then in charge of the Center for Cooperation and Creation (Institute of Information and Communication Strategy), Deputy Director, then Director of Center for Information and Communication Technology Transfer (Institute of Information and Communication Strategy), specialist of Secretariat – General Department (Ministry Office), Deputy Director of Information Security Department and Deputy Director of Department of Informatics.

Sharing at the decision on staffing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung said that Mr. Do Cong Anh is a true specialist in IT, so the task of administering the Department of Informatics Chemistry is very suitable.

“Looking at the work history of Mr. Cong Anh, after 9 years of holding the leadership position of the department, when needed, he is ready to move from the head of the department to the specialist of the Secretariat – General department. It can be seen that this is a person with any assignment will do a good job, no matter what position it is. This is a good example for the officers of the Department of Informatics. ”, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung said.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung, the Department of Computerization is currently under a lot of pressure. This requires the staff to have good capacity to withstand the frequency of working around the clock.

The leader of the Department of Computerization will be the professional focal point between the technology community inside and outside the Ministry. Therefore, this position needs a mature face from professional work and external evaluation and recognition. After considering many factors, the Party Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications agreed to assign Mr. Do Cong Anh to be in charge of the administration of the Department of Information Technology.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung wished the Department of Computerization and Computerization to unite, join hands to help and support Mr. Do Cong Anh to fulfill his responsibility.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Do Cong Anh thanked the Ministry’s leaders for his trust and assignment of the task of running the Department of Computerization.

According to Mr. Do Cong Anh, this is a sprint period with many big tasks that need to be completed to develop e-government, digital government and digital transformation. Mr. Do Cong Anh promised to unite together with civil servants, officials and employees of the Computerization Department to develop digital government and build the national digital transformation.
