Moderna vaccine is 90% effective in six months

AmericaThe results of the moderna Covid-19 vaccine last-stage trial on April 13 showed that a full two-dose injection would have a protective effect that lasted for six months.

Moderna has studied the effectiveness of the vaccine with more than 900 cases of Covid-19, including 100 serious cases. According to the report, 33 participants had high immunity against Covid-19 within six months of getting the Moderna vaccine.

Injecting two full doses of the vaccine will be 90% effective in preventing Covid-19 and 95% in preventing severe symptoms requiring hospitalization. Moderna’s preliminary results have not been published in scientific journals, but are consistent with results published last week in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Moderna also released preliminary data on the additional vaccines being tested in mice. In it, a vaccine was developed against the B.1.351 variant from South Africa. The other is a combination of the original vaccine and the anti-variant vaccine. Both vaccines have increased immunity in mice, but the second has the strongest protection.

On March 16, Moderna announced it would test the Covid-19 vaccine in children between 6 months and 11 years old. As expected, 6,750 children living in the US and Canada participated in the trial, each child injected 2 doses 28 days apart.

Moderna vaccine is developed using new mRNA technology, which is able to stimulate human cells to make viral proteins. The immune system then comes into contact with the protein and produces antibodies, the immune cells recognize and destroy the pathogen.

The European Union Drug Administration (EMA) approved the Moderna vaccine on January 6. Vaccines are vaccinated in the US, Canada, Germany, Korea, UK …

Pfizer also recently announced its vaccine is 90% effective in preventing viral infections and 95% effective against severe Covid-19 symptoms. The protective effects of the Pfizer vaccine last for six months from vaccination.
