Man who claimed to have bomb near US Parliament House surrenders to police

Washington: A man who claimed to have a bomb in a pickup truck near the US Parliament House surrendered to police last day after an hour-long standoff.

Police could not immediately determine whether the vehicle contained explosives, but officers are searching the truck in an attempt to understand why the man, identified as 49-year-old Floyd Ray Rosebery, of North Carolina’s Library of Parliament Took the vehicle on the sidewalk outside. As well as why the officers were threatened with bombs.
