Information about the network situation to serve the Lunar New Year, Viettel Net representative said, on the occasion of the 2022 Lunar New Year, fireworks locations across the country were canceled due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, so Viettel focus on monitoring network quality in nearly 120 crowded areas, including airports, piers, gateway routes in big cities, commercial centers, tourist areas, amusement parks, large pagodas and My Dinh Stadium – where the football match between Vietnam and China will take place.

Through monitoring on the system, this year, Viettel customers’ data service demand increased by nearly 25% compared to Tet in 2021. Particularly on the 29th and 1st of Tet, 4G data traffic on Viettel network increased by more than 30%. Voice traffic is also 50% larger. Network quality across the country is guaranteed to be smooth and safe, even before, during and after New Year’s Eve. The average download speed of 4G service users in crowded places is from 30-35Mbps.

“The migration of subscribers this year also took place earlier than last year’s Lunar New Year. Nearly 6.5 million Viettel subscribers have moved from big cities and provinces to their hometown, 10% higher than Tet 2021. , of which 1.6 million subscribers have moved early due to the influence of Covid-19. The localities with the most subscribers moving to are An Giang, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh.
