Lockdown from today in France amidst Corona’s second wave, schools will remain open with strict rules

Paris: Countrywide lockdown begins in France amidst the second wave of Corona epidemic. This lockdown will start from midnight on Thursday till at least December. French President Emmanuel Macron announced the lockdown while addressing the country on Wednesday. He had said, “Corona is spreading fast. Like all the neighbors, we are also facing the second wave of epidemic. Lockdown is the only way to counter Kovid-19.”

Schools will be open in new lockdown
The lockdown was carried out in France earlier in mid-March. However, unlike the first lockdown, this time all schools will be open with strict rules. Apart from this, during lockdown, only work, health services and shopping will be allowed. Factories, farming and construction work can be continued. University, library, bars, restaurants, gyms, public programs will be banned.

France’s recovery rate extremely low
France is the fifth most affected country by the Corona virus. According to the WorldMeter, an epidemic in France on Thursday killed 235 people and led to 47,637 new cases. The total number of infected in France is close to 1.3 million and more than 36 thousand people have lost their lives. The corona recovery rate in France is very low. Only 1 lakh 15 thousand people have been cured here, more than 11 lakh are being treated. Compared to India, 73 lakh patients out of 80 lakh infected have recovered here.

In Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and the Czech Republic, cases of infection are increasing in a similar way. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, partial lockdown has also been implemented in 16 states of Germany.
