Kovid-19 vaccination to start in European Union from December 27

The Kovid-19 vaccination campaign will begin in the European Union on 27 December. The announcement has been made by Ursula von der Leyen, Chair of the European Commission. Leyen himself has given this information by tweeting.

He said, “This is Europe’s moment.” Vaccination will begin across the EU on 27, 28 and 29 December. We protect our citizens together. We are strong together. “

The Executive Commission of the EU has signed agreements with six potential vaccine suppliers and is working for the seventh agreement. These deals allow the union to buy more than 800 million doses which is more than the union’s 460 million population.

Earlier on 25th of November itself, Ursula von der Leyen told EU MPs that the first European citizens could be vaccinated before the end of December. Leyen had said that vaccines are important, but the meaning is vaccination. He warned, “Member states should be ready now. We are talking about millions of syringes, we are talking about cold chain, we are talking about organizing vaccination centers, we are talking about trained personnel. All this has to be prepared. “
