Beijing: China will start vaccination of Kovid-19 on a priority basis starting from winter to spring season in which people working in the field of medical treatment and disease control will be vaccinated first and then start mass vaccination. The National Health Commission (NHC) gave this information on Saturday.
Cui Gang, an official of the NHC’s Department of Disease Control, told reporters that the vaccination program would also include people who plan to go to work or study in counties and areas where the risk of virus infection is high . He said that this will reduce the pressure to control and prevent cases of Kovid-19 and will also reduce the risk of outbreak of epidemics at the domestic level.
According to Cui, under the two-stage vaccination program, those working in public transport, meat market, medical treatment, disease control, aviation sector, etc. will be vaccinated first. However, no announcement has been made about when the mass vaccination program will start.
Vaccines manufactured in China are under trial in more than a dozen countries, including Brazil. The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have approved the Chinese government company Sinopharm vaccine.
Chinese officials have said that the virus has been largely prevented from spreading. And on Saturday, only three new cases of infection have been reported.
Health officials said that more than a million people have been vaccinated under the Emergency Use Provision and no specific adverse effects have been observed during the test. In China, attention is being paid to five types of vaccines to prevent the corona virus.
