Jean-Marie Messier strengthens his circle of associates

New arrival in the circle of bankers of Jean-Marie Messier. One year after his divorce from Erik Maris, the former boss of Vivendi brought into the capital of his investment bank a fourth partner, after Hubert Preschez, the former co-head of the corporate and investment bank of ‘HSBC France. Fabrice Martineau, who ran another Parisian M&A boutique, DC Advisory, joins the investment bank 80.6% co-owned by the Italian group Mediobanca.

The 48-year-old banker, who made his debut at CCF before joining Rothschild & Co, with some 80 transactions to his credit, is strengthening his advice to investment funds and certain corporates. Fabrice Martineau has also advised on numerous transactions on behalf of the Casino group in South America, and on behalf of subsidiaries such as CDiscount or GreenYellow in photovoltaics.
