Iran’s big statement on nuclear treaty talks, ‘If America is ready for deal…’

Nuclear Pact Revival Talks: Iran said on Monday that Tehran is ready to reach a “good deal” with world powers. Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said this in a televised news conference. He accused the US of stalling talks to revive the 2015 nuclear deal. “Even today, we stand ready to return to Vienna to reach a good agreement, if Washington fulfills its commitments,” Khatibzadeh said.

The nuclear deal was expected to be renegotiated in March, but talks were partially stalled over whether the United States should include the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on its Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) list. Will remove from, which Iran has been demanding.

Trump went back on the deal in 2018
In 2018, the then US President Donald Trump backed out of this agreement. Under this agreement, Iran halted its nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions. However, due to Trump’s retraction, Iran started violating its core nuclear limits after about a year.

America said a big thing last week
Last week, the US said it was waiting for a constructive response from Iran on restoring the deal without “irrelevant” issues. The US was referring to Iran’s demand in which it has been talking about removing the IRGC from the Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).
