The newly announced Galaxy S22 doesn’t have many features for Apple users to envy except for one thing.
After Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series on February 9, it was immediately put on the balance sheet to compare with rival iPhone 13.
The Galaxy S22 series comes in various sizes ranging from 6.1 inches to 6.8 inches, while the iPhone 13 ranges from 5.4 inches to 6.7 inches. In particular, the Glaxy S22 Ultra is also equipped with an S Pen stylus. However, that is not what Apple cares about. Similarly, no Galaxy S22 model can compete with the iPhone 13 mini’s 5.4-inch size.
|iPhone 14 should learn this from Galaxy S22|
Follow PCMag, with the exception of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, all iPhone 13 models offer higher-resolution displays. In addition, the Galaxy S22 series equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is also considered to be slower than the A15 Bionic chip on the iPhone 13.
According to reviews, rival iPhone 13 is still better in every way, but with a hard glass back design, Galaxy S22 is said to protect the phone when dropped better than iPhone. This is something that Apple should learn to apply to the next generation of iPhones.
Samsung uses Gorilla Glass Victus+ for both the front and back, which is the best high-tech glass from Corning.
The screen of the iPhone 13 uses an OLED panel and is covered with tempered glass made from Ceramic Shield ceramic crystal. Apple promises that it’s harder than any smartphone glass on the market, offering incredible durability and reducing the possibility of damage when dropped. However, Ceramic Shield is only equipped on the front of the iPhone.
While it’s great to provide the best protection for your phone’s front screen, a broken iPhone back is also a nightmare. That’s why iPhone 14 should have Ceramic Shield for both front and back.
Device makers Apple and Android often “borrow” from each other. This has been going on for more than a decade, Steve Jobs even called Android a “stealer” because it copied so much from the iPhone. So it can also be considered fair if Apple “borrowed” an idea from Samsung and implemented it on the iPhone 14.
