Qatar Summons Indian Ambassador: The objectionable remarks of BJP leaders against Prophet Mohammad are being condemned all over the world. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry summoned Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal and handed over an official note to him, expressing dismay over controversial remarks made by BJP leaders (Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal) against Prophet Mohammed. Complete disapproval and condemnation were expressed. At the same time, the Indian Ambassador told the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar that the tweets do not reflect the views of the Government of India. Let us tell you that the BJP on Sunday suspended its national spokesperson Nupur Sharma from the party for the alleged controversial statement made on Prophet Mohammad. The party has expelled the media chief of BJP’s Delhi unit Naveen Kumar Jindal from the party. The party said that his comments on social media worked to disturb communal harmony.

BJP said- party respects all religions
The BJP on Sunday said it respects all religions and does not accept insults to the revered people of any religion, as part of efforts to quell the ruckus over the alleged controversial remarks made by one of its spokespersons on Prophet Mohammad.

In the midst of a controversy erupted over the statement of party spokesperson Nupur Sharma, BJP general secretary Arun Singh issued a statement saying that his party does not accept any such idea which hurts the sentiments of any religion or sect.

In a letter issued by the BJP’s disciplinary committee, it was said that Sharma has presented views contrary to the opinion of the party on various issues, which is a clear violation of its constitution. “Till further investigation, you are hereby suspended from the party and from the responsibilities of the party with immediate effect,” the letter said.

Naveen Jindal removed from primary membership
“Your primary membership is immediately terminated and you are expelled from the party,” said a letter issued by Delhi Pradesh BJP president Adesh Gupta to Jindal.

Qatar welcomes action against Sharma and Kumar
Qatar welcomed the statement issued by the ruling party in India in which it announced the suspension of a party official from practicing his activities in the party.
